Zandvoort ‘25

For Round 5 of the Caterham Official Championship, the team made the journey to the legendary Zandvoort Circuit in the Netherlands — joining the F4 grid for an action-packed international weekend.

Apart from a damp Friday morning, the weather delivered a sunny and warm few days, creating perfect conditions for racing and some good fun around the paddock.

In the 310R grid, Charlie Lower and Gareth Lucas flew the team colours. Gareth had a brilliant weekend in the AM class, securing a P2 and a P1 across the races — a great reward after solid pace and sharp driving throughout. Charlie’s weekend ended with a bang, with his engine blowing at the end of Race 3, cutting short what had been a competitive run.

Over in the 270R field, Django continued to show strong form. He brought home back-to-back P5 finishes to kick off the weekend, running right up at the sharp end. In Race 3, he was holding onto P4 before late-race tyre wear caught him out, dropping him down to P10 in the final seven minutes. A weekend full of promise, with plenty more to come.

Off the track, the team made the most of the weekend atmosphere. Friday night saw a lively paddock party, and throughout the event, the crew was kept well-fuelled thanks to “Django’s Dad”, who served up a hit menu of burgers, wraps, and bacon every single day — a massive morale booster for everyone under the awning.

Next up: Oulton Park. Let’s go again.
